    Evan Fay

Evan Fay is an American designer and maker born in Traverse City, MI. He received a BFA in 2014 from Kendall College of Art and Design as a student of the furniture design department, and an MFA in 2016 while studying 3D design at Cranbrook Academy of Art. Shortly after graduation Fay co-founded the design studio Aratani・Fay in Detroit where it currently operates. His work has been exhibited at Collective NYC, Interior Design Show Toronto, Salone Satellite Milan, Talente Munich, Architectural Digest Show NYC, Collectible Brussels, and is currently represented by Galerie Philia internationally.

“My aim is to embrace beauty and chaos in the structured landscape of the domestic every day. Exploring spontaneous form and intuitive construction by rhythmically connecting and growing each piece I find comfort in a liminal position between design art and craft. Offering a balance of metaphor, function, and process in pursuit of artful expressions in design could be an opportunity to celebrate new perspectives in design”.
